Offering love during the pandemic - OEP donates nutritional and baby hygiene products to T.F.C.F.

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted many people's lives and work, impacting the livelihoods of many families and the fundraising efforts of charitable organizations. In fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities and fighting the pandemic with the people, OEP has donated milk powder, nutritional supplements and baby hygiene products to eight centers of Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (T.F.C.F.) around Taiwan for distribution to disadvantaged families in need of these goods.

OEP's donations include the products with brand names such as Karihome, Babecare, Ostricare from its Nutricare Business Unit, and the Ostricare and Mister Baby from its Antiaging Business Unit. The donated supplies include nutritional supplements such as baby formula, baby cereal, high calcium plant-based milk and mixed fruit cereal, as well as hygiene products such as gentle shampoo and cleansing mousse. About 3,000 items were presented to the Taipei T.F.C.F. on the morning of May 5 at a donation ceremony.

OEP has long promoted healthcare activities for populations in remote areas and communities. It regularly supplies numerous charitable organizations with needed nutritional supplements and daily commodities, thereby fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. With the increasing intensity of the COVID-19 pandemic since January of this year, the number of unpaid leaves in Taiwan has skyrocketed, impacting many families. Social welfare groups have also been affected by their fundraising. To help ensure the healthy growth of infants and babies in low-income families, OEP donated this batch of nutritional products and hygiene supplies to T.F.C.F. Its social workers can then transfer the items to its centers in Taipei, Hualien, Taitung, Pingtung, Chiayi, Nantou, Keelung and North Kaohsiung for distribution to families in need of these nutritional supplements, which will also reduce the burden of these vulnerable families.
