As global greenhouse effects change the environmental ecology, OEP is determined to sustain the environment and protect the earth for the sake of our next generations by promoting energy conservation, carbon reduction, and resource recycling and reuse.
Energy conservation measures
- OEP adopts energy-saving lighting.
- Regularly maintains air-conditioning system at a certain level of performance and installs blinds in sun-filled rooms to slow the rate of temperature rise and reduce the use of air conditioning in office areas.
- Purchases energy label appliances and office equipment.
-
Implements office energy-saving plans
(e.g., switch off lights during lunch breaks and set computers on sleep mode).
Paperless office environment:
OEP comprehensively implements e-flow of office management to reduce use of paper, adopts multi-function product to reduce the number of printers, scanners, fax machines, and other equipment, and promotes the use of electronic files in place of printed documents.
Adoption of FSC paper products:
OEP uses Forest Stewardship Council certified printing papers and toilet papers.
Resource Recycling
0 |
Used cartridges from multi-function products and printers are all recycled by vendors and reused to mitigate environmental pollution. |
Office stationery is managed by a dedicated department, recycling reusable stationery and recycling resources to encourage colleagues to save energy and reduce waste. |
Audiovisual conference facilities
Audiovisual conference facilities are constructed to reduce travel time and cost, and associated energy consumption and carbon emission.
